Fang Shao Hua

Born in Hubei in 1962, graduated from the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts with a Master Degree in Fine Arts Research in 1988. Currently, he is the President of the Art Institute and the Professor and Vice-Dean of the Art Academy of South China Normal University. 
 
In 1987, he attended "The 1st Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition", Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai, China. 
 
In 1988, he attended the "Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition", Tokyo Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan. 
 
In 1992, he attended "The 90's Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition", Redwood Convention Center, California, USA. 
 
In 1996, he attended "China!", Kunst Museum, Bonn, Germany and "The 1st Academic Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition", National Art Museum, Beijing, China. 
 
In 1997, his works were exhibited at "Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition", Hundertwasser Haus, Vienna in Austria, "Conversation with China - Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Art", Charlottenburg Exhibition Centre, Copenhagen in Denmark and "Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Art", Zacheta Modern Art Museum, Warsaw in Poland. 
 
In 1999, he attended "The 14th Asia International Art Exhibition", Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Fukuoka, Japan. 
 
In 2000, works were exhibited at "Shanghai Art Museum Collection Exhibition" and "Year 2000 Shanghai Biennale", both at Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai, China. 
 
In 2002, he attended "The 1st Guangzhou Contemporary Art Triennale � Ten Years of Chinese Experimental Art (1990 - 2000)", Guangzhou Art Museum, Guangzhou in China and "The 17th Asian International Art Exhibition", The Contemporary Art Museum of Ta-Jeon, Seoul in Korea. 
 
In 2003, he attended "The 3rd Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition", National Art Museum, Beijing, and "Upward Direction - Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition", Guangdong Museum of Art, Guangzhou in China. 
 
In 2004, he attended "International Contemporary Art Exhibition", Convention and Exhibition Center, Seoul, Korea. 
 
In 2005, he attended "1976 - 2005 Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition", National Art Museum, Beijing, China and "Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition", Düsseldorf Art Museum, Düsseldorf, Germany. 
 
In 2006, he attended "Chinese Scenery, Nanjing Contemporary Art Museum, Nanjing, China and "Under the Umbrella: A New Look at the Past" at Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery, Hong Kong, China. 
 
1n 2007, he attended "What Next? Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition", Hong Kong City Hall, Hong Kong, China. 
 
In 2008, he solo exhibition "In Search of Harmless Apples for the Garden of Eden", was held at Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai, China.
